Welcome to the TRC-ACHMM website!! We are still moving forward in 2010!!
Hello. As President of the TRC-ACHMM in 2010, I would like to thank you for visiting our website. I feel we have an exciting year of events planned for the Chapter, and want to extend a personal invitation to all CHMMs and other EH&S Professionals to join us as often as you can.
This year, as our economy and industry begins its climb out of the recession, it is more important than ever to keep in touch with what’s happening in the Hazardous Materials, and Environmental Health and Safety industry. Networking with your peers, and attending our technical presentations and social get-togethers is a great way to do that.
We have an experienced and enthusiastic Board of Directors intent on providing the membership with ample opportunities for technical development and social networking. Thru the CHMMunity Program, we also hope to provide opportunities to work with other environmental organizations to help make our local Western Pennsylvania area a safer, healthier environment and a better place to live.
Check our website and calendar often to see what’s going on. Register to receive our e-mail notifications. If you can, please consider joining our group and attending some of our events. We’d love to see you! We are always looking for new ideas and insight. Working together helps keep our local chapter strong, and our local EH&S community thriving.
Some of the events/happenings you should look to see this year include technical presentations on: Green Remediation & Energy from Waste, LEED Green Buildings, Environmental and Carbon Disclosure, the Marcellus Shale, and Internet Networking for Haz Mat Professionals. Our social networking events will include a Pens Telecast, a Pirates game at PNC Park, and our annual Holiday Social. For those of you planning to become CHMMs, don’t forget our annual EHMM Overview Course in Nov. We will also be continuing our sponsorship and involvement with the Southwest PA Household Hazardous Waste Task Force as they strive to safely remove hazardous chemicals from our homes.
If you have any questions, thoughts or ideas, please feel free to contact me or one of the other TRC-ACHMM Board members. We’d love to hear from you.
Wishing you a very prosperous and healthy 2010, and beyond.
Best regards,
Joe Kuchnicki,
