CHMMunity Volunteer Event - Beaver County Household Hazardous Waste

Time of Event: 7:30am-2pm
Thank you for your interest. THERE IS NO REGISTRATION FEE. Below is event day information for Beaver County HHW volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering please complete this registration. After registration expect an email before the event from the Southwest PA HHW Task Force organizer Michael Stepaniak (michaels@ccicenter.org or (412) 488-7452).
The Saturday, October 4th Beaver County HHW collection at the recycling center in Bradys Run Park <http://www.co.beaver.pa.us/Recreation/brady.htm> is less than two weeks away and we are still recruiting volunteers. This is our last event of the year, and the fifth in Beaver since 2003. The site is scenic and it's always been a very enjoyable collection to work.
We are planning for approximately 400-425 vehicles, so we'll need about 20 volunteers to adequately staff the event. Volunteer tasks include directing traffic, taking surveys, packing up and handing out educational materials, checking materials in trunks, tallying vehicles, and other important duties. VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT HANDLE HHW OR UNLOAD VEHICLES.
The shifts run like this:
All day - 7:30 am till 2:00 pm
AM - 7:30 am till 11:30 am
PM - 10 am till 2:00 pm
Lunch, beverages, and Task Force t-shirts will be provided. And, new for 2008 - to show the Task Force's appreciation for our volunteers each will receive:
A $10 gift card (Task Force members not eligible)
Free disposal of HHW (up to 5 gallons, a $10 value)
A chance to win exciting items that have been donated by local organizations!
If you have not done so already please let me know if you are available to work the collection. And if so, whether you will be helping all day or for a half-day shift. If you are an organization contact and can recruit volunteers, we'll need their names, shift, and contact information (phone # and e-mail).
