EH&S Train-the-Trainer – Identification of Training Requirements and Triggers
EH&S Train-the-Trainer – Identification of Training Requirements and Triggers
Date of Event: 03/19/2007
Time of Event: 6:00 - 7:30 PM

Speaker: Gregg Ashman, President, Professional Training Associates

This is a must-see presentation for EH&S managers and any employers responsible for training personnel so they can determine those employees that need to receive training and what the training requirements might entail.

Mr. Ashman will provide a review of various training requirement thresholds and trigger. Employers and EH&S managers can use this information when developing and updating existing company policies regarding training.

The agenda would consist of a quick overview of the training requirements contained in the various subparts of both the General Industry and Construction Industry Standards from OSHA. We would then switch to EPA regulations and discuss the training requirements in RCRA, TSCA, FIFRA, CAA, CWA, etc. Finally, we would review the training requirements of the DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations including Homeland Security.

A training matrix will be provided to all of the participants detailing the following: required curriculum (if specified), length and frequency of training, and qualifications of trainers (if specified).

The meeting location will be held at the Duquesne Light offices on the Northside, 2645 New Beaver Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233 at Woods Run Bldg 6, Room 128 (closest to main entrance of building). Hors D'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided. Fee for attendance will be $15 TRC members, $20 non-TRC members.

A Board of Directors meeting will preceed the training at 5:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
