Recent Changes to Stormwater and E&S Plan Regulations

Guest speaker: Charlie Riling of the West Virginia Division of Highways

Mr. Riling is also the President of Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (MAC/IECA).

Program Description:

RECENT CHANGES TO STORM WATER AND E&S PLAN REGULATIONS

Are you update to date with recent the storm water regulations? Did you know that regulations covering storm water runoff from construction sites have become more stringent over the last few years?

This presentation will provide an overview of the best management practices for construction site erosion control and introduce you to an organization that promotes erosion control.

Topics covered:

„« What is the IECA and what are their goals?
„« What is the Mid-Atlantic region doing locally?
„« Do you know where dirty water from construction sites goes?
„« Best management practices for controlling dirty water and erosion from construction sites.

Mr. Riling will provide slides of recent projects that have implemented erosion control strategies.

Fee:

No charge for chapter members; $25 for non-members. Registration Fee includes a membership to the Chapter for 2008. Membership to the TRC-ACHMM is optional.

Note: A guided tour of the Brewery may be offered at 5:30 PM if we have enough people interested. Those wishing to take the tour should indicate so when making your RSVP so that we can provide count to Penn Brewery. The tour is free.
